First Reading: ROM 2:1-11

读经一（上主要照每人的行为予以报应，先是犹太人，后是希腊人。）

恭读圣保禄宗徒致罗马人书 2:1-11

 

You, O man, are without excuse, every one of you who passes judgment. For by the standard by which you judge another you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the very same things.

弟兄们：你不论是谁，你判断人必无可推诿，因为你判断别人，就是定你自己的罪，因为你这判断人的，正作着同样的事。

 

We know that the judgment of God on those who do such things is true.

我们知道：对于作这样事的人，天主必照真情判断。

 

Do you suppose, then, you who judge those who engage in such things and yet do them yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God?

人啊！你判断作这样事的人，你自己却作同样的事，你以为你能逃脱天主的审判吗？

 

Or do you hold his priceless kindness, forbearance, and patience in low esteem, unaware that the kindness of God would lead you to repentance?

难道你不知道：天主的慈爱是引导你悔改，而你竟轻视他丰厚的慈爱、宽容与忍耐吗？

 

By your stubbornness and impenitent heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself for the day of wrath and revelation of the just judgment of God,

你固执而不愿悔改，只是为自己积蓄天主的忿怒，就是他在正义审判的那一天向你所发的忿怒。

 

who will repay everyone according to his works, eternal life to those who seek glory, honor, and immortality through perseverance in good works,

到那一天，“他要照每人的行为予以报应”：凡恒心行善，寻求光荣、尊贵和不朽的人，天主必赐以永生；

 

but wrath and fury to those who selfishly disobey the truth and obey wickedness.

凡固执于恶，不顺从真理，反顺从不义的人，天主必报以忿怒和愤恨。

 

Yes, affliction and distress will come upon everyone who does evil, Jew first and then Greek.

患难和困苦必加于一切作恶的人，先是犹太人，后是希腊人；

 

But there will be glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does good, Jew first and then Greek. There is no partiality with God.

光荣、尊贵以及平安，必加于一切行善的人，先是犹太人，后是希腊人，因为天主决不顾情面。

【答】：天主，你照各人的行为予以报酬。

 

Only in God is my soul at rest; from him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be disturbed at all.

领：我的灵魂只安息在天主内，因为我的救援是由他而来。只有他是我的盘石，我的救星；他是我的堡垒，我决不会动摇。

 

R. Lord, you give back to everyone according to his works.

【答】：天主，你照各人的行为予以报酬。

 

Only in God be at rest, my soul, for from him comes my hope. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be disturbed.

领：我的灵魂，你只安息在天主内，因为我的期望全是由他而来。只有他是我的盘石，我的救星；他是我的堡垒，我决不会动摇。

 

R. Lord, you give back to everyone according to his works.

【答】：天主，你照各人的行为予以报酬。

 

Trust in him at all times, O my people! Pour out your hearts before him; God is our refuge!

领：百姓，你们该常向他表示依靠，该在他面前吐露你们的心声，因为天主确是我们的避难所。

【答】：天主，你照各人的行为予以报酬。

 

Gospel Lk 11:42-46

福音（祸哉！你们法利塞人！祸哉！你们法学士！）

恭读圣路加福音 11:42-46

 

The Lord said: "Woe to you Pharisees! You pay tithes of mint and of rue and of every garden herb, but you pay no attention to judgment and to love for God.

那时候，耶稣向法利塞人说：“祸哉，你们法利塞人！因为你们把薄荷、茴香及各种菜蔬捐献十分之一，反而将公义及爱天主的义务忽略过去：

 

These you should have done, without overlooking the others.

这些固然该作，那些也不可忽略。

 

Woe to you Pharisees! You love the seat of honor in synagogues and greetings in marketplaces.

祸哉，你们法利塞人！因为你们在会堂里爱坐上座，在街市上爱受人致敬。

 

Woe to you! You are like unseen graves over which people unknowingly walk.”

祸哉，你们！因为你们就如同不显露的坟墓，人在上面走过，也不知道。”

 

Then one of the scholars of the law said to him in reply, "Teacher, by saying this you are insulting us too."

有一个法学士回答耶稣说：“师傅，你说这些话，连我们也侮辱了。”

 

And he said, "Woe also to you scholars of the law! You impose on people burdens hard to carry, but you yourselves do not lift one finger to touch them."

耶稣说：“祸哉，你们这些法学士！因为你们加给人不堪负荷的重担，而你们自己对这重担连一个指头也不肯动一下。”
