First Reading: 1 Tm 1:15-17

读经一（基督耶稣到世界上来，是为拯救罪人。）

恭读圣保禄宗徒致弟茂德前书 1:15-17

 

Beloved: This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Of these I am the foremost.

亲爱的弟兄：这句话是确实的，值得完全接纳：就是基督耶稣到世界上来，是为拯救罪人；而我就是其中的魁首。

 

But for that reason I was mercifully treated, so that in me, as the foremost, Christ Jesus might display all his patience as an example for those who would come to believe in him for everlasting life.

但是我所以蒙受了怜悯，是为使基督耶稣在我这个魁首身上，显示他的完全坚忍，为给将来信靠他而获永生的人一个榜样。

 

To the king of ages, incorruptible, invisible, the only God, honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

愿尊崇和光荣归于万世的君王，那不死不灭，不可见的惟一天主，于无穷世之世！亚孟。

领：上主的仆人，请一齐赞颂，请一齐赞颂上主的圣名！愿上主的圣名受赞颂，从现今直到永远无穷！

【答】：愿上主的圣名受赞颂。

 

From the rising to the setting of the sun is the name of the LORD to be praised. High above all nations is the LORD; above the heavens is his glory.

领：从太阳东升直到西倾，愿上主的圣名受赞颂！上主高越列国万邦，他的光荣凌驾穹苍。

【答】：愿上主的圣名受赞颂。

 

Who is like the LORD, our God, and looks upon the heavens and the earth below? He raises up the lowly from the dust; from the dunghill he lifts up the poor.

领：谁能相似上主我们的天主？他必会垂目下视，观看上天和下地；从尘埃里提拔弱小的人，由粪土中举扬穷苦的人。

Gospel LK 6:43-49

福音（你们为什么称呼我：“主啊！”而不行我所吩咐的呢？）

恭读圣路加福音 6:43-49

 

Jesus said to his disciples: “A good tree does not bear rotten fruit, nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit.

耶稣对门徒说：“没有好树结坏果子的，也没有坏树结好果子的。每一棵树凭它的果子就可认出来。

 

For people do not pick figs from thornbushes, nor do they gather grapes from brambles.

人从荆棘上收不到无花果，从茨藤上也剪不到葡萄。

 

A good person out of the store of goodness in his heart produces good, but an evil person out of a store of evil produces evil; for from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.

善人从自己心中的善库发出善来，坏人从恶库中发出恶来，因为心里充满什么，口里就说什么。

 

Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I command? I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, listens to my words, and acts on them.

你们为什么称呼我：主啊！主啊！而不行我所吩咐的呢？凡到我跟前，听了我的道理而实行的，我要给你们指出，他相似什么人：

 

That one is like a man building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when the flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been well built.

他相似一个建造房屋的人，掘地深挖，把基础建立在磐石上，洪水瀑发时，大水冲击那座房屋，而不能动摇它，因为它建筑得好。

 

But the one who listens and does not act is like a person who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the river burst against it, it collapsed at once and was completely destroyed.”

但那听了而不实行的，相似人在平地上不打基础而建造房屋，洪水一冲击，那房屋立刻倾倒，且破坏得很惨。”
