First Reading: ACTS 16:22-34

读经一（你信主耶稣吧！你和你一家就必得救。）

The crowd in Philippi joined in the attack on Paul and Silas, and the magistrates had them stripped and ordered them to be beaten with rods.

斐理伯的群众齐来攻击保禄和息拉，官长就撕下了他们的衣服，下令用棍殴打。

 

After inflicting many blows on them, they threw them into prison and instructed the jailer to guard them securely.

打了许多棍之后，就把他们押在监里，吩咐狱警小心看守；

 

When he received these instructions, he put them in the innermost cell and secured their feet to a stake.

狱警领命，就把他们关在内监，又在他们的脚上带上木枷。

 

About midnight, while Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God as the prisoners listened,

约在半夜时分，保禄和息拉祈祷赞颂天主，囚犯都侧耳静听。

 

there was suddenly such a severe earthquake that the foundations of the jail shook; all the doors flew open, and the chains of all were pulled loose.

忽然地震大作，甚至监狱地基都摇动了，所有的门立时开了，众人的锁链也解开了。

 

When the jailer woke up and saw the prison doors wide open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, thinking that the prisoners had escaped.

狱警醒来，见监门全开着，以为囚犯都已逃走，就拔出剑来，想要自杀。

 

But Paul shouted out in a loud voice, "Do no harm to yourself; we are all here." He asked for a light and rushed in and, trembling with fear, he fell down before Paul and Silas.

保禄大声喊说：“不要伤害自己，我们还都在这里。”狱警要来了灯，就跑进去，战栗发抖地俯伏在保禄和息拉面前，

 

Then he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" And they said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your household will be saved."

然后领他们出来说：“先生，我当作什么才可得救！”他们说：“你信主耶稣吧！你和你一家就必得救。”

 

So they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to everyone in his house.

他们就给他和他家所有的人，讲了主的圣道。

 

He took them in at that hour of the night and bathed their wounds; then he and all his family were baptized at once.

当夜在那时刻，狱警就带他们去洗伤，他和他的亲人也都领了洗；

 

He brought them up into his house and provided a meal and with his household rejoiced at having come to faith in God.

遂又领他们到自己家里，摆了宴席；他和全家因信了天主，都满心喜欢。

【答】：上主！求你伸出右手救我。

 

I will give thanks to you, O LORD, with all my heart, for you have heard the words of my mouth; in the presence of the angels I will sing your praise; I will worship at your holy temple, and give thanks to your name.

领：上主，我要全心称谢你，因你俯听了我的恳祈。我要在众神前歌颂你，朝你的圣所伏地致敬。

 

R. Your right hand saves me, O Lord.

【答】：上主！求你伸出右手救我。

 

Because of your kindness and your truth, you have made great above all things your name and your promise. When I called, you answered me; you built up strength within me.

领：为了你的仁慈和至诚，我必要称谢你的圣名，我几时呼号你，你就俯允我，并将我灵魂上的力量增多。

 

R. Your right hand saves me, O Lord.

【答】：上主！求你伸出右手救我。

 

Your right hand saves me. The LORD will complete what he has done for me; your kindness, O LORD, endures forever; forsake not the work of your hands.

领：你用右手救我，伸手抗拒仇人的愤恨。上主必替我完成这工程；上主，你的仁慈永远常存，求你不要放弃你的作品。

 

R. Your right hand saves me, O Lord.

【答】：上主！求你伸出右手救我。

 

Gospel JN 16:5-11

福音（我若不去，护慰者便不会到你们这里来。）

恭读圣若望福音 16:5-11

 

Jesus said to his disciples: "Now I am going to the one who sent me, and not one of you asks me, 'Where are you going?' But because I told you this, grief has filled your hearts.

那时，耶稣对门徒说：“现在我就往派遣我者那里去，你们中却没有人问我：你往那里去？只因我给你们说了这话，你们就满心忧闷。

 

But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.

然而，我将真情告诉你们：我去为你们有益，因为我若不去，护慰者便不会到你们这里来；我若去了，就要派遣他到你们这里来。

 

And when he comes he will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation: sin, because they do not believe in me;

当他来到时，就要指证世界关于罪恶、正义和审判所犯的错误：关于罪恶，因为他们没有信从我；

 

righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see me; condemnation, because the ruler of this world has been condemned."

关于正义，因为我往父那里去，而你们再见不到我；关于审判，因为这世界的首领已被判断了。”
