First Reading:  Dn 2:31-45

读经一（上主要兴起一个永不灭亡的国家，它要毁灭一切邻国。）

恭读达尼尔先知书 2:31-45

 

Daniel said to Nebuchadnezzar: "In your vision, O king, you saw a statue, very large and exceedingly bright, terrifying in appearance as it stood before you. 

那时，达尼尔对拿步高王说：“大王！你梦见一尊巨大的立像。这尊立像异常高大，非常光辉灿烂，立在君王面前，相貌可怕。

 

The head of the statue was pure gold, its chest and arms were silver, its belly and thighs bronze, the legs iron, its feet partly iron and partly tile.

这尊立像，头是纯金的，胸和臂是银的，腹和大腿是铜的，胫是铁的，脚一部份是铁的，一部份是泥的。

 

While you looked at the statue, a stone which was hewn from a mountain without a hand being put to it, struck its iron and tile feet, breaking them in pieces. 

大王，你在观望，忽有一块石头，未经人手开凿即滚下，击中了立像，把铁泥的脚打得粉碎；

 

The iron, tile, bronze, silver, and gold all crumbled at once, fine as the chaff on the threshing floor in summer, and the wind blew them away without leaving a trace. 

同时铁、泥、铜、银和金立即完全粉碎，有如夏天禾场上的糠秕，被风吹去，无踪无影；

 

But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

那块击碎立像的石头却变成了一座大山，占据了全地。

 

"This was the dream; the interpretation we shall also give in the king's presence. 

“梦是这样的，现在我们要给大王解释梦兆。

 

You, O king, are the king of kings; to you the God of heaven has given dominion and strength, power and glory; 

大王！你是王中之王，上天大主赐给了你领土、势力、权威和尊荣，

 

men, wild beasts, and birds of the air, wherever they may dwell, he has handed over to you, making you ruler over them all; you are the head of gold. 

凡有人居住的地方，田野的走兽，天空的飞鸟，都交在你手中，由你统治这一切，你便是那属金的头。

 

Another kingdom shall take your place, inferior to yours, then a third kingdom, of bronze, which shall rule over the whole earth.

在你以后，将兴起另一个比你稍弱的国家，以后兴起第三个国家，属铜，她要统辖大地；

 

There shall be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron; it shall break in pieces and subdue all these others, just as iron breaks in pieces and crushes everything else. 

相继而来的是第四个，坚强如铁的国家，就如铁能粉碎和击破一切，这个国家也要如铁粉碎和击破一切。

 

The feet and toes you saw, partly of potter's tile and partly of iron, mean that it shall be a divided kingdom, but yet have some of the hardness of iron. 

至于你见的脚和脚趾，一部份是泥，一部份是铁，表示这个国家必要分裂，然而国内仍有铁的坚强，正如你见铁与泥相混一样。

 

As you saw the iron mixed with clay tile, and the toes partly iron and partly tile, the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 

脚趾一部份是铁，一部份是泥，表示这个国家一部份强，一部份弱。

 

The iron mixed with clay tile means that they shall seal their alliances by intermarriage, but they shall not stay united, any more than iron mixes with clay.

你见铁与泥混合，是说他们要与其他人种相混合，但是彼此不能相合，就如铁不能与泥相混合一样。

 

In the lifetime of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed or delivered up to another people; 

在这些君王时代，上天的大主必要兴起一个永不灭亡的国家，她的王权也决不归于其他民族，

 

rather, it shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and put an end to them, and it shall stand forever. 

她要粉碎和毁灭这一切邦国，惟独她永存不替，

 

That is the meaning of the stone you saw hewn from the mountain without a hand being put to it, which broke in pieces the tile, iron, bronze, silver, and gold. 

就如你所见那块未经人手开凿，即从山上滚下的石头，把铁、铜、泥、银和金打得粉碎一样。

 

The great God has revealed to the king what shall be in the future; this is exactly what you dreamed, and its meaning is sure."

伟大的天主已晓谕了大王今后将要发生的事。这梦是真实的，梦的解释也是正确的。”

Gospel  Lk 21:5-11

福音（待那时日一到，没有一块石头会留在另一块石头上。）

While some people were speaking about how the temple was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings, 

那时候，有些人正谈论圣殿是用美丽的石头，和还愿的礼品装饰的，

 

Jesus said, "All that you see here–the days will come when there will not be left a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down."

耶稣说：“你们所看见的这一切，待那时日一到，没有一块石头留在另一块石头上，而不被拆毁的。”

 

Then they asked him, "Teacher, when will this happen? And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?" 

他们遂问说：“师傅！那么，什么时候要发生这些事？这些事要发生的时候，将有什么先兆？

 

He answered, "See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and 'The time has come.' 

耶稣说：“你们要谨慎，不要受欺骗！因为将有许多人，假冒我的名字来说：就是我（默西亚）；又说：时期近了。

 

Do not follow them! When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end."

你们切不可跟随他们。你们几时听见战争及叛乱，不要惊惶！因为这些事必须先要发生，但还不即刻是结局。”

 

Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 

耶稣遂又对他们说：“民族要起来攻击民族，国家攻击国家；

 

There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place; and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky."

将有大地震，到处有饥荒及瘟疫，又将出现可怖的景象，天上要有巨大的凶兆。”
