恭读智慧篇 7:22-8:1

 

In Wisdom is a spirit intelligent, holy, unique, Manifold, subtle, agile, clear, unstained, certain,

在智慧内的神，原是聪明的、至圣的、唯一的、多样的、微妙的、敏捷的、精明的、无玷的、率直的、

 

Not baneful, loving the good, keen, unhampered, beneficent, kindly, Firm, secure, tranquil, all-powerful, all-seeing,

不受损害的、好善的、锐敏的、无敌的、施惠的、爱人的、稳固的、坚决的、无虑的、无所不能的，无所不察的，

 

And pervading all spirits, though they be intelligent, pure and very subtle. For Wisdom is mobile beyond all motion, and she penetrates and pervades all things by reason of her purity.

她洞察所有聪明、洁净和精微心灵的。实在，智慧比一切活动更为活动；她是如此精纯，能渗透并深入一切。

 

For she is an aura of the might of God and a pure effusion of the glory of the Almighty; therefore nought that is sullied enters into her.

智慧是天主威能的气息，是全能者荣耀的真诚流露；因此，任何污秽都不能浸入她内。

 

For she is the refulgence of eternal light, the spotless mirror of the power of God, the image of his goodness.

她是永远光明的反映，是天主德能的明镜，是天主美善的肖像。

 

And she, who is one, can do all things, and renews everything while herself perduring; And passing into holy souls from age to age, she produces friends of God and prophets.

她虽是独一的，却无所不能；她虽恒存不变，却常使万物更新。她世世代代进入圣善的灵魂，使他们成为天主的朋友和先知，

 

For there is nought God loves, be it not one who dwells with Wisdom. For she is fairer than the sun and surpasses every constellation of the stars.

因为天主只爱那与智慧同居共处的人。实在，智慧比太阳还美丽，压倒一切星座；

 

Compared to light, she takes precedence; for that, indeed, night supplants, but wickedness prevails not over Wisdom.

如与光明相比，她必占优势；因为光明要让位给黑夜，邪恶绝不能战胜智慧。

 

Indeed, she reaches from end to end mightily and governs all things well.

智慧施展威力，从地极直达地极，从容治理万物。

According to your ordinances they still stand firm: all things serve you.

领：天地时常遵守你的旨意，因为万物都是你的仆役。

The revelation of your words sheds light, giving understanding to the simple.

领：你的言语经过解释必会发亮光照，连知识浅薄的人也可以通达知晓。

【答】：上主，你的圣言永远存留。

 

Let your countenance shine upon your servant, and teach me your statutes.

领：求你给你的仆人显示你的慈颜，同时也求你给我教导你的规范。

【答】：上主，你的圣言永远存留。

 

Let my soul live to praise you, and may your ordinances help me.

领：愿我的灵魂活着赞美你，愿你的法令支持我！

Gospel Lk 17:20-25

Asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, Jesus said in reply, "The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed,

那时候，法利塞人问耶稣天主的国何时要来；耶稣回答说：“天主国的来临，并非是显然可见的；

 

and no one will announce, 'Look, here it is,' or, 'There it is.' For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you."

人也不能说：看呀，在这里；或：在那里；因为天主的国就在你们中间。”

 

Then he said to his disciples, "The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.

耶稣对门徒说：“日子将到，那时，你们切望看见人子的日子来临，而不得见。

 

There will be those who will say to you, 'Look, there he is,' or 'Look, here he is.' Do not go off, do not run in pursuit.

人要向你们说：看呀，在那里；看呀，在这里。你们不要去，也不要追随，

 

For just as lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. But first he must suffer greatly and be rejected by this generation."

因为犹如闪电由天这边闪起，直照到天那边：人子在他的日子里，也要这样。但他必须先受许多苦，且被这一代摈弃。”
