First Reading: JGS 11:29-39A

读经一（不论谁由我家门出来迎接我，我就把他献给上主作全燔祭。）

恭读民长纪　11:29-39

 

The Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah. He passed through Gilead and Manasseh, and through Mizpah-Gilead as well, and from there he went on to the Ammonites.

那时上主的神降于依弗大身上，他就走遍基肋阿得和默纳协，来到基肋阿得的米兹帕，又从基肋阿得的米兹帕，到了阿孟子民那里。

 

Jephthah made a vow to the LORD. "If you deliver the Ammonites into my power," he said, "whoever comes out of the doors of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites shall belong to the LORD. I shall offer him up as a burnt offering."

依弗大向上主许愿说：“若你把阿孟子民交于我手中，当我由阿孟子民那里平安回来时，不论谁由我家门内出来迎接我，谁就应归上主，我要把他献作全燔祭。”

 

Jephthah then went on to the Ammonites to fight against them, and the LORD delivered them into his power,

于是依弗大到阿孟子民那里与他们交战，上主把他们交在他手中，

 

so that he inflicted a severe defeat on them, from Aroer to the approach of Minnith (twenty cities in all) and as far as Abel-keramim.

于是他从阿洛厄尔击杀他们直到米尼特，直到阿贝耳革辣明，共二十座城，实在是一场大追击战；

 

Thus were the Ammonites brought into subjection by the children of Israel.

于是阿孟子民在以色列子民前屈服了。

 

When Jephthah returned to his house in Mizpah, it was his daughter who came forth, playing the tambourines and dancing. She was an only child: he had neither son nor daughter besides her.

依弗大回到米兹帕自己家中时，看，他的女儿出来，击鼓跳舞前来迎接他。她是依弗大的独生女，除她以外，没有别的子女。

 

When he saw her, he rent his garments and said, "Alas, daughter, you have struck me down and brought calamity upon me.

当依弗大一见了她，就撕破衣服说：“哎呀！我的女儿，你真使我苦恼，太叫我为难了！

 

For I have made a vow to the LORD and I cannot retract." She replied, "Father, you have made a vow to the LORD. Do with me as you have vowed,

因为我对上主开过口不能收回。”她回答他说：“我的父亲，你既然对上主开过口，就照你说出的对待我吧！

 

because the LORD has wrought vengeance for you on your enemies the Ammonites."

因为上主已对你的敌人阿孟子民，为你报了仇。”

 

Then she said to her father, "Let me have this favor. Spare me for two months, that I may go off down the mountains to mourn my virginity with my companions."

她又向父亲说：“请你许我一件事：给我两个月的期限，让我与我的伴侣到山上去，哀哭我的童贞。”

 

"Go," he replied, and sent her away for two months. So she departed with her companions and mourned her virginity on the mountains.

他答应说：“你去吧！”就让她离去两个月的时间。她就去了，与她的伴侣在山上哀哭自己的童贞。

 

At the end of the two months she returned to her father, who did to her as he had vowed.

过了两个月，她回到父亲那里，父亲就在她身上还了所许的愿。

Blessed the man who makes the LORD his trust; who turns not to idolatry or to those who stray after falsehood.

领：凡全心依靠上主，不对傲慢倾慕，且又不依附虚伪的，这人真有福！

 

R.  Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.

【答】：上主，看，我已到来，为承行你的旨意。

 

Sacrifice or oblation you wished not, but ears open to obedience you gave me. Burnt offerings or sin-offerings you sought not; then said I, "Behold I come."

领：上主，牺牲与素祭已非你所喜，就开了我的耳朵；全燔之祭以及赎罪之祭，也已非你所要。于是我说：“你看，我已到来！”

 

R.  Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.

【答】：上主，看，我已到来，为承行你的旨意。

 

In the written scroll it is prescribed for me. To do your will, O my God, is my delight, and your law is within my heart!

领：关于我，书卷上已有记载：我的天主，承行你的旨意为我所喜爱，你的法律常存于我的心怀。

 

R.  Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.

【答】：上主，看，我已到来，为承行你的旨意。

 

I announced your justice in the vast assembly; I did not restrain my lips, as you, O LORD, know.

领：在盛大的集会中，我宣扬了你的正义，看，我并没有闭口不言，上主，你全知悉。

 

R.  Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.

【答】：上主，看，我已到来，为承行你的旨意。

 

Gospel MT 22:1-14

福音（凡你们所遇到的，都请来赴婚宴。）

恭读圣玛窦福音　22:1-14

 

Jesus again in reply spoke to the chief priests and the elders of the people in parables saying, "The Kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son.

那时，耶稣用比喻对司祭长和民间长老说：“天国好比一个国王，为自己的儿子办婚宴。

 

He dispatched his servants to summon the invited guests to the feast, but they refused to come. A second time he sent other servants, saying,

他打发仆人去召被请的人来赴婚宴，他们却不愿意来。他又派其他的仆人去，说：

 

'Tell those invited: "Behold, I have prepared my banquet, my calves and fattened cattle are killed, and everything is ready; come to the feast."'

你们对被请的人说：看，我已经预备好了我的盛宴，我的公牛和肥畜都宰杀了，一切都齐备了，你们来赴婚宴吧！

 

Some ignored the invitation and went away, one to his farm, another to his business. The rest laid hold of his servants, mistreated them, and killed them.

他们却不理：有的往自己的田里去了，有的作自己的生意去了，其余的竟拿住他的仆人，凌辱后杀死了。

 

The king was enraged and sent his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. Then the king said to his servants, 'The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy to come.

国王于是动了怒，派自己的军队消灭了那些杀人的凶手，焚毁他们的城市。然后对仆人说：婚宴已经齐备了，但是被请的人都不配。

 

Go out, therefore, into the main roads and invite to the feast whomever you find.'

如今你们到各路口去，凡是你们所遇到的，都请来赴婚宴。

 

The servants went out into the streets and gathered all they found, bad and good alike, and the hall was filled with guests.

那些仆人就出去到大路上，凡遇到的，无论坏人好人，都召集了来，婚宴上就满了坐席的人。

 

But when the king came in to meet the guests he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment.

国王进来巡视坐席的客人，看见在那里有一个没有穿婚宴礼服的人，

 

He said to him, 'My friend, how is it that you came in here without a wedding garment?' But he was reduced to silence.

便对他说：朋友，你怎么到这里来，不穿婚宴礼服？那人默然无语。

 

Then the king said to his attendants, 'Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the darkness outside, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.' Many are invited, but few are chosen."

国王遂对仆役说：你们捆起他的脚和手来，把他丢在外面的黑暗中；在那里要有哀号和切齿。因为被召的人多，被选的人少。
