At Miletus, Paul spoke to the presbyters of the Church of Ephesus: "Keep watch over yourselves and over the whole flock of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers, in which you tend the Church of God that he acquired with his own Blood.

保禄对厄弗所教会的长老说：“圣神既在整个羊群中立你们为监督，牧养天主用自己的血所取得的教会，所以你们要对你们自己和整个羊群留心。

 

I know that after my departure savage wolves will come among you, and they will not spare the flock. And from your own group, men will come forward perverting the truth to draw the disciples away after them.

我知道在我离开之后，将有凶暴的豺狼进到你们中间，不顾惜羊群，就是在你们中间，也要有人起来讲说谬论，勾引门徒跟随他们。

 

So be vigilant and remember that for three years, night and day, I unceasingly admonished each of you with tears.

因此，你们要警醒，记住我三年之久，日夜不断地含泪劝勉了你们每一个人。

 

And now I commend you to God and to that gracious word of his that can build you up and give you the inheritance among all who are consecrated.

现在，我把你们托付给天主和他的恩宠之道，他能创建你们，并在一切圣徒中，赐给你们嗣业。

 

I have never wanted anyone's silver or gold or clothing. You know well that these very hands have served my needs and my companions.

我没有贪图过任何人的金银或衣服。你们自己知道：这双手供应了我和同我一起的人的需要。

 

In every way I have shown you that by hard work of that sort we must help the weak, and keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus

在各方面我都给你们立了榜样，就是必须这样劳动，扶助病弱者；要记住主耶稣的话，

 

who himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" When he had finished speaking he knelt down and prayed with them all.

他说过：'施予比领受更为有福。'"说完这些话，保禄便跪下同众人祈祷。

 

They were all weeping loudly as they threw their arms around Paul and kissed him, for they were deeply distressed that he had said that they would never see his face again. Then they escorted him to the ship.

众人都大哭起来，并伏在保禄的颈项上，口亲他。他们最伤心的，是为了保禄说的这句话：以后他们不得再见他的面了。他们便送他上了船。

【答】：普世万邦，请歌颂上主。

 

You kingdoms of the earth, sing to God, chant praise to the Lord who rides on the heights of the ancient heavens. Behold, his voice resounds, the voice of power: “Confess the power of God!”

领：普世万邦，请歌颂天主，也请赞扬上主。他自永远就是驾御高天穹苍的大主，听！他的声音发出，巨大的声音已发出：“你们应承认天主的大能！”

【答】：普世万邦，请歌颂上主。

 

Over Israel is his majesty; his power is in the skies. Awesome in his sanctuary is God, the God of Israel; he gives power and strength to his people.

领：他的荣耀光照以色列人，他的神威弥漫天际。天主，你在圣所中可敬可畏，愿天主受赞美！

Gospel JN 17:11B-19

福音（求你使你赐给我的人合而为一，正如我们一样。）

恭读圣若望福音 17:11-19

 

Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed, saying: "Holy Father, keep them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one.

那时候，耶稣举目向天说：“圣父啊！求你因你的名，保全那些你所赐给我的人，使他们合而为一，正如我们一样。

 

When I was with them I protected them in your name that you gave me, and I guarded them, and none of them was lost except the son of destruction, in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

当我和他们同在时，我因你的名，保全了你所赐给我的人，护慰了他们，其中除了那丧亡之子，没有一个丧亡，这是为应验经上的话。

 

But now I am coming to you. I speak this in the world so that they may share my joy completely. I gave them your word, and the world hated them,

但如今我到你那里去，我在世上讲这话，是为叫他们的心充满我的喜乐。我已将你的话授给了他们，世界却憎恨他们，

 

because they do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world but that you keep them from the Evil One.

因为他们不属于世界，就如我不属于世界一样。我不求你将他们从世界上撤去，只求你保护他们脱免邪恶。

 

They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth.

他们不属于世界，就如我不属于世界一样。求你以真理祝圣他们；你的话就是真理。

 

As you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world. And I consecrate myself for them, so that they also may be consecrated in truth."

就如你派遣我到世界上来，照样我也派遣他们到世界上去。我为他们祝圣我自己，为叫他们也因真理而被祝圣。”
