From Miletus Paul had the presbyters of the Church at Ephesus summoned.

保禄从米肋托打派人到厄弗所，请教会的长老来。

 

When they came to him, he addressed them, "You know how I lived among you the whole time from the day I first came to the province of Asia.

他们到了他那里，他便向他们说：“你们知道：自从我来到亚细亚的第一天起，与你们在一起，始终怎样为人，

 

I served the Lord with all humility and with the tears and trials that came to me because of the plots of the Jews,

怎样以极度的谦逊，含着眼泪，经历犹太人为我所设的阴谋，而忠信事奉主。

 

and I did not at all shrink from telling you what was for your benefit, or from teaching you in public or in your homes.

你们也知道：凡有益于你们的事，我没有一样隐讳而不传给你们的，我常在公众前，或挨家教训你们，

 

I earnestly bore witness for both Jews and Greeks to repentance before God and to faith in our Lord Jesus. But now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem.

不论向犹太人或希腊人，我常苦劝你们悔改，归向天主，并信从我主耶稣。看，现在我为圣神所束缚，必须往耶路撒冷去，

 

What will happen to me there I do not know, except that in one city after another the Holy Spirit has been warning me that imprisonment and hardships await me.

在那里要遇到什么事，我不知道；我只知道圣神在各城中向我指明说：有锁链和患难在等待我。

 

Yet I consider life of no importance to me, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to bear witness to the Gospel of God's grace.

可是，只要我完成了我的行程，完成了受自主耶稣叫我给天主恩宠的福音作证的任务，我没有任何理由珍惜我的性命。我曾在你们中往来，宣讲了天主的国，

 

But now I know that none of you to whom I preached the kingdom during my travels will ever see my face again.

但现在，我知道你们众人以后不得再见我的面了。

 

And so I solemnly declare to you this day that I am not responsible for the blood of any of you, for I did not shrink from proclaiming to you the entire plan of God.

因此，我今天向你们作证：对于众人的血，我是无罪的，因为天主的一切计划，我都传告给你们了，毫无隐讳。”

领：天主，你给你的产业降下甘霖，因而复苏了疲倦的人民。于是，你的羊群便在那里安居，天主，你以慈爱照顾了贫苦的人。

【答】：普世万邦，请歌颂上主。

 

Blessed day by day be the Lord, who bears our burdens; God, who is our salvation. God is a saving God for us; the LORD, my Lord, controls the passageways of death.

领：唯愿上主天天受赞美！他承担了我们的重负，因你是救我们的天主。我们的天主实在是拯救人的天主，上主天主使我们摆脱死亡的关口。

Gospel JN 17:1-11A

福音（父啊！求你光荣你的子。）

恭读圣若望福音 17:1-11

 

Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Give glory to your son, so that your son may glorify you, just as you gave him authority over all people, so that your son may give eternal life to all you gave him.

那时候，耶稣举目向天说：“父啊！时辰来到了，求你光荣你的子，好叫子也光荣你，因为你赐给了他权柄掌管凡有血肉的人，是为叫他将永生赐给一切你所赐给他的人。

 

Now this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. I glorified you on earth by accomplishing the work that you gave me to do.

永生就是：认识你，唯一的真天主，和你所派遣来的耶稣基督。我在地上，已光荣了你，完成了你所委托我做的工作。

 

Now glorify me, Father, with you, with the glory that I had with you before the world began.

父啊！现在，在你面前光荣我吧！赐给我在世界未有以前，我在你前所有的光荣吧！

 

"I revealed your name to those whom you gave me out of the world. They belonged to you, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.

“我将你的名，已显示给那些你由世界中所赐给我的人。他们原属于你，你把他们托给了我，他们也遵守了你的话。

 

Now they know that everything you gave me is from you, because the words you gave to me I have given to them, and they accepted them and truly understood that I came from you, and they have believed that you sent me.

现在，他们已知道：凡你赐给我的，都是由你而来的，因为你所授给我的话，我都传给了他们；他们也接受了，也确实知道我是出于你，并且相信是你派遣了我。

 

I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for the ones you have given me, because they are yours, and everything of mine is yours and everything of yours is mine, and I have been glorified in them.

我为他们祈求，不为世界祈求，只为你赐给我的人祈求，因为他们原是属于你的。我的一切都是你的，你的一切都是我的：我因他们已受了光荣。

 

And now I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, while I am coming to you."

从今以后，我不在世界上了，但他们仍在世界上，我却到你那里去。”
