First Reading: ACTS 15:7-21

After much debate had taken place, Peter got up and said to the Apostles and the presbyters, "My brothers, you are well aware that from early days God made his choice among you that through my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the Gospel and believe.

宗徒和长老辩论多时之后，伯多禄起来向他们说：“诸位仁人弟兄！你们深知，多时以前，天主就在你们中选定了，要藉我的口，叫外邦人听福音的道理而信从。

 

And God, who knows the heart, bore witness by granting them the Holy Spirit just as he did us. He made no distinction between us and them, for by faith he purified their hearts.

洞察人心的天主，已为他们作了证，因为赐给了他们圣神，如同赐给了我们一样，在我们和他们中间没有作任何区别，因他以信德净化了他们的心。

 

Why, then, are you now putting God to the test by placing on the shoulders of the disciples a yoke that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to bear?

既然如此，现今你们为什么试探天主，在门徒的颈项上，放上连我们的祖先和我们自己都不能负荷的轭呢？

 

On the contrary, we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they."

但是，我们信我们得救，是藉着主耶稣的恩宠，正和他们一样。”

 

The whole assembly fell silent, and they listened while Paul and Barnabas described the signs and wonders God had worked among the Gentiles through them.

于是众人都缄默不语，静听巴尔纳伯和保禄述说天主藉着他们在外邦人中，行了怎样大的征兆与奇迹。

 

After they had fallen silent, James responded, "My brothers, listen to me.

大家都不出声之后，雅各伯接着说：“诸位仁人弟兄，请听我说！

 

Symeon has described how God first concerned himself with acquiring from among the Gentiles a people for his name. The words of the prophets agree with this,

西满述说了天主当初怎样关心外邦人，由他们中选拔一个百姓，属于自己名下；先知的话也正与此相合；

 

as is written: After this I shall return and rebuild the fallen hut of David; from its ruins I shall rebuild it and raise it up again, so that the rest of humanity may seek out the Lord, even all the Gentiles on whom my name is invoked. Thus says the Lord who accomplishes these things, known from of old.

如经上记载：‘以后我要回来，重建达味已倾倒的居所；已坍塌了的，要把它重建而竖起来，为的是其余的人，即一切以我的名得名的民族，要寻求上主：这是很久以前，公布这事的主说的。’

 

It is my judgment, therefore, that we ought to stop troubling the Gentiles who turn to God, but tell them by letter to avoid pollution from idols, unlawful marriage, the meat of strangled animals, and blood.

因此，按我的意见，不要再加给由外邦归依天主的人烦难，只要函告他们戒避偶像的玷污和奸淫，戒食窒死之物和血；

 

For Moses, for generations now, has had those who proclaim him in every town, as he has been read in the synagogues every sabbath."

因为自古以来，在各城内都有宣讲梅瑟的人，每安息日在会堂中诵读他的书。”

领：请众齐向上主歌唱新歌，普世大地，请向上主讴歌！请向上主歌唱，赞美他的圣名。

 

R. Proclaim God's marvelous deeds to all the nations.

【答】：请在万民中宣扬上主的奇功。

 

Announce his salvation, day after day. Tell his glory among the nations; among all peoples, his wondrous deeds.

领：一日复一日地，宣扬他的救恩。请在列邦中，传述他的光荣，请在万民中，宣扬他的奇功。

 

R. Proclaim God's marvelous deeds to all the nations.

【答】：请在万民中宣扬上主的奇功。

 

Say among the nations: The LORD is king. He has made the world firm, not to be moved; he governs the peoples with equity.

领：请在万民中高呼：上主为王！他稳定寰宇，使它不再动荡，他以正义公道来治理万邦。

【答】：请在万民中宣扬上主的奇功。

 

Gospel JN 15:9-11

福音（你们应存在我的爱内，好使你们的喜乐圆满无缺。）

恭读圣若望福音 15:9-11

 

Jesus said to his disciples: "As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love.

那时，耶稣对门徒说：“正如父爱了我﹐同样我也爱了你们﹔你们应存在我的爱内。

 

If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love.

如果你们遵守我的命令，便存在我的爱内，正如我遵守了我父的命令而存在他的爱内一样。

 

"I have told you this so that my joy might be in you and your joy might be complete."

我对你们讲论了这些事，为使我的喜乐存在于你们内，使你们的喜乐圆满无缺。”
