The Church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria was at peace. She was being built up and walked in the fear of the Lord, and with the consolation of the Holy Spirit she grew in numbers.

教会既在全犹太、加里肋亚和撒玛黎雅得了平安，遂建立起来，怀着敬畏上主之情行动，并因着圣神的鼓励，逐渐发展。

 

As Peter was passing through every region, he went down to the holy ones living in Lydda.

当伯多禄巡视各处时，也到了居住在里达的圣徒那里。

 

There he found a man named Aeneas, who had been confined to bed for eight years, for he was paralyzed.

在那里遇见了一个人，名叫艾乃阿，患瘫痪病，躺在床上已有八年。

 

Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed.”

伯多禄向他说：“艾乃阿！耶稣基督治好你了；起来，整理你的床褥吧！”

 

He got up at once. And all the inhabitants of Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.

他即刻起来了。凡住在里达和沙龙的人，见了他，就都归依了主。

 

Now in Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which translated is Dorcas). She was completely occupied with good deeds and almsgiving. Now during those days she fell sick and died, so after washing her, they laid her out in a room upstairs.

在约培有个女门徒，名叫塔彼达，希腊文叫作多尔卡，她多行善事，广施济，就在那几天病死了；人把她洗涤后，停在楼上。

 

Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him with the request, “Please come to us without delay.” So Peter got up and went with them.

里达因临近约培，门徒们听说伯多禄在那里，就打发两个人到他那里去，请求说：“你不可再迟延到我们那里去了。”伯多禄就动身同他们去了；

 

When he arrived, they took him to the room upstairs where all the widows came to him weeping and showing him the tunics and cloaks that Dorcas had made while she was with them.

他一来到，他们领他上了楼；所有的寡妇都来到他前，哭着把多尔卡同她们在一起的时候所制的内外衣，指给他看。

 

Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed. Then he turned to her body and said, “Tabitha, rise up.”

伯多禄叫众人都退到外面以后，遂屈膝祈祷，转身向遗体说：“塔彼达，起来！”

 

She opened her eyes, saw Peter, and sat up. He gave her his hand and raised her up, and when he had called the holy ones and the widows, he presented her alive.

她便睁开眼，看见了伯多禄，就坐了起来。伯多禄伸手扶她起来；随后，叫圣徒和寡妇们进来，叫他们看她已活了。

 

This became known all over Joppa, and many came to believe in the Lord.

这事传遍了全约培，就有许多人信了主。

【答】：我应该要怎样报谢上主，谢他赐给我的一切恩佑？

 

How shall I make a return to the LORD for all the good he has done for me? The cup of salvation I will take up, and I will call upon the name of the LORD.

领：我应该要怎样报谢上主，谢他赐给我的一切恩佑？我要举起救恩的杯爵，我要呼吁上主的名号。

 

R. How shall I make a return to the Lord for all the good he has done for me?

【答】：我应该要怎样报谢上主，谢他赐给我的一切恩佑？

 

My vows to the LORD I will pay in the presence of all his people. Precious in the eyes of the LORD is the death of his faithful ones.

领：我要在众百姓面前，向上主还我的誓愿！上主的圣者们的去世，在上主眼中十分珍贵。

 

R. How shall I make a return to the Lord for all the good he has done for me?

【答】：我应该要怎样报谢上主，谢他赐给我的一切恩佑？

 

O LORD, I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your handmaid; you have loosed my bonds. To you will I offer sacrifice of thanksgiving, and I will call upon the name of the LORD.

领：我的上主！我是你的仆役，你仆役是你婢女的儿子；你解开了我的锁炼，我要献给你赞美之祭，我要呼号上主的名字。

 

R. How shall I make a return to the Lord for all the good he has done for me?

【答】：我应该要怎样报谢上主，谢他赐给我的一切恩佑？

福音（主啊！惟你有永生的话，我们还投奔谁呢？）

Many of the disciples of Jesus who were listening said, “This saying is hard; who can accept it?” Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this,

耶稣的门徒中有许多人听了他的话，便说：“这话生硬，谁能听得下去呢？”耶稣自知他的门徒对这话窃窃私议，

 

he said to them, “Does this shock you? What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?

便向他们说：“这话使你们起反感吗？那么，如果你们看到人子升到他先前所在的地方去，将怎样呢？

 

It is the Spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and life. But there are some of you who do not believe.”

使生活的是神，肉一无所用；我给你们所讲论的话，就是神，就是生命。但你们中间有些人，却不相信。”

 

Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe and the one who would betray him.

原来，耶稣从起头就知道那些人不信，和谁要出卖他。

 

And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father.”

所以他又说：“为此，我对你们说过：除非蒙父恩赐的，谁也不能到我这里来。”

 

As a result of this, many of his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer walked with him. Jesus then said to the Twelve, “Do you also want to leave?”

从此，他的门徒中有许多人退去了，不再同他往来。于是耶稣向那十二人说：“难道你们也愿走吗？”

 

Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.”

西满伯多禄回答说：“主！惟你有永生的话。我们去投奔谁呢？我们相信，而且已知道你是天主的圣者。”
