First Reading:   JER 11:18-20

读经一（我好像一只驯服被牵去宰杀的羔羊。）

恭读耶肋米亚先知书 11:18-20

 

I knew their plot because the LORD informed me; at that time you, O LORD, showed me their doings. Yet I, like a trusting lamb led to slaughter, had not realized that they were hatching plots against me:

上主叫我知道，我才知道；那时我看透了恶人的作为：我好像一只驯服被牵去宰杀的羔羊，竟不知他们对我蓄意谋害：

 

"Let us destroy the tree in its vigor; let us cut him off from the land of the living, so that his name will be spoken no more."

“让我们毁坏这株生气蓬勃的树，将他由活人的地上拔除，使他的名字不再受人记念。”

 

But, you, O LORD of hosts, O just Judge, searcher of mind and heart, Let me witness the vengeance you take on them, for to you I have entrusted my cause!

公平审判和洞察肺俯的万军的上主！愿我见到你对他们的报复，因为我已向你提出我的控诉。

【答】：上主，我的天主！我一心投奔你。

 

O LORD, my God, in you I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and rescue me, Lest I become like the lion's prey, to be torn to pieces, with no one to rescue me.

领：上主，我的天主！我一心投奔你；求你助我逃脱一切追逐我的人，求你救拔我；免得有人像狮子一般撕裂我时，无人搭救我。

 

R.  O Lord, my God, in you I take refuge.

【答】：上主，我的天主！我一心投奔你。

 

Do me justice, O LORD, because I am just, and because of the innocence that is mine. Let the malice of the wicked come to an end, but sustain the just, O searcher of heart and soul, O just God.

领：上主，请照我的正义，请按我的无罪，护卫我的权利。公义的天主！惟你洞察肺俯和人心，愿恶人的毒害停止，求你坚固义人！

 

R.  O Lord, my God, in you I take refuge.

【答】：上主，我的天主！我一心投奔你。

 

A shield before me is God, who saves the upright of heart; A just judge is God, a God who punishes day by day.

领：天主是我的护盾，给心正的人助阵。天主是公义的审判者，对怙恶的人终日怒吓。

 

R.  O Lord, my God, in you I take refuge.

【答】：上主，我的天主！我一心投奔你。

 

Gospel JN 7:40-53

福音（难道默西亚是来自加里肋亚吗？）

恭读圣若望福音 7:40-53

 

Some in the crowd who heard these words of Jesus said, "This is truly the Prophet." Others said, "This is the Christ."

那时候，群众中有些人听了耶稣的话，便说：“这人真是那位先知。”另有些人说：“这人是默西亚。”

 

But others said, "The Christ will not come from Galilee, will he? Does not Scripture say that the Christ will be of David's family and come from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?"

但也有人说：“难道默西亚能来自加里肋亚吗？经上不是说：默西亚要出自达味的后裔，来自达味出生的村庄白冷吗？”

 

So a division occurred in the crowd because of him. Some of them even wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him.

因此，为了耶稣的缘故，在群众中起了纷争。他们中有些人愿捉拿他，但谁也没有向他下手。

 

So the guards went to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, "Why did you not bring him?" The guards answered, "Never before has anyone spoken like this man."

差役回到司祭长和法利塞人那里；司祭长和法利塞人问他们说：“为什么你们没有把他带来？”差役回答说：“从来没有一个人如此讲话，像这人讲话一样。”

 

So the Pharisees answered them, "Have you also been deceived? Have any of the authorities or the Pharisees believed in him? But this crowd, which does not know the law, is accursed."

法利塞人遂向他们说：“难道你们也受了煽惑吗？首长中或法利塞人中，难道有人信仰了他吗？但是，这些不明白法律的群众，是可诅咒的！”

 

Nicodemus, one of their members who had come to him earlier, said to them, "Does our law condemn a man before it first hears him and finds out what he is doing?"

他们中有一个，即先前曾来到耶稣那里的尼苛德摩，遂向他们说：“如果不先听取人的口供，和查明他所作的事，难道我们的法律就许定他的罪么？”

 

They answered and said to him, "You are not from Galilee also, are you? Look and see that no prophet arises from Galilee." Then each went to his own house.

他们回答他说：“难道你也是出自加里肋亚么？你去查考，你就能知道：从加里肋亚不会出先知的。”然后，他们就各自回家去了。
