First Reading: Gn 3:9-15, 20

After the man, Adam, had eaten of the tree, the LORD God called to the man and asked him, "Where are you?" He answered, "I heard you in the garden; but I was afraid,

亚当吃了树上的果子以后，上主天主呼唤他，对他说：“你在那里？”他答说：“我在乐园中听到了你的声音，就害怕起来，

 

because I was naked, so I hid myself." Then he asked, "Who told you that you were naked? You have eaten, then, from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat!"

因为我赤身露体，遂躲藏了。”天主说：“谁告诉了你，赤身露体？莫非你吃了我禁止你吃的果子？”

 

The man replied, "The woman whom you put here with me she gave me fruit from the tree, and so I ate it."

亚当说：“是你给我作伴的那个女人给了我那树上的果子，我才吃了。”

 

The LORD God then asked the woman, "Why did you do such a thing?" The woman answered, "The serpent tricked me into it, so I ate it."

上主天主遂对女人说：“你为什么作了这事？”女人答说：“是蛇哄骗了我，我才吃了。”

 

Then the LORD God said to the serpent: "Because you have done this, you shall be banned from all the animals and from all the wild creatures; on your belly shall you crawl, and dirt shall you eat all the days of your life.

上主天主对蛇说：“因你做了这事，你在一切畜牲和野兽中，是可咒骂的；你要用肚子爬行，毕生日日吃土。

 

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will strike at your head, while you strike at his heel."

我要把仇恨放在你和女人，你的后裔和她的后裔之间，她的后裔要踏碎你的头颅，你要伤害他的脚跟。”

 

The man called his wife Eve, because she became the mother of all the living.

亚当给自己的妻子起名叫厄娃，因为她是众生的母亲。

The LORD has made his salvation known: in the sight of the nations he has revealed his justice. He has remembered his kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel.

领：上主已经宣布了自己的救恩，将自己的正义已启示给万民。他记起了自己的良善和忠诚，即向以色列家族广施的宽仁。

All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation by our God. Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands; break into song; sing praise.

领：全球看见了我们天主的救恩。因此，普世大地，请向上主歌舞，请踊跃，请欢乐，弹琴演奏。

Second Reading : Eph 1:3-6, 11-12

读经二（天主于创世以前，在基督内已拣选了我们。）

Brothers and sisters: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens,

弟兄们：愿我们的主耶稣基督的天主和父受赞美！他在天上，在基督内，以各种属神的祝福，祝福了我们，

 

as he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him.

因为他于创世以前，在基督内已拣选了我们，为使我们在他面前，成为圣洁无瑕疵的；

 

In love he destined us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, in accord with the favor of his will, for the praise of the glory of his grace that he granted us in the beloved.

又由于爱，按照自己旨意的决定，预定了我们藉著耶稣基督获得义子的名份，而归于他，为颂扬他恩宠的光荣，这恩宠是他在自己的爱子内赐与我们的；

 

In him we were also chosen, destined in accord with the purpose of the One who accomplishes all things according to the intention of his will, so that we might exist for the praise of his glory, we who first hoped in Christ.

我们是在基督内得作天主的产业，因为我们是由那位按照自己旨意的计划施行万事者，早预定了的，为使我们这些首先在默西亚内怀着希望的人，颂扬他的光荣。

The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin's name was Mary.

到了第六个月，天使加俾额尔奉天主差遣，往加里肋亚一座名叫纳匝肋的城去，到一位童贞女那里，她已与达味家族中的一个名叫若瑟的男子订了婚，童贞女的名字叫玛利亚。

 

And coming to her, he said, "Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you." But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be.

天使进去向她说：“万福！充满恩宠者，上主与你同在！在女人中你是蒙祝福的。”她却因这话惊惶不安，便思虑这样的请安有什么意思。

 

Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus.

天使对她说：“玛利亚，不要害怕；因为你在天主前获得了宠幸。看，你将怀孕生子，并要给他起名叫耶稣，

 

He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his Kingdom there will be no end."

他将是伟大的，并被称为至高者的儿子，上主天主要把他祖先达味的御座赐给他，他要为王统治雅各伯家，直到永远；他的王权没有终结。”

 

But Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?"

玛利亚便向天使说：“这事怎能成就？因为我不认识男人。”

 

And the angel said to her in reply, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.

天使答复她说：“圣神要临于你，至高者的能力要庇廕你，因此，那要诞生的圣者，将称为天主的儿子。

And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God."

且看，你的亲戚依撒伯尔，她虽在老年，却怀了男胎：本月已六个月了，她原是素称不生育的，因为在天主前没有不能的事。”

 

Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Then the angel departed from her.

玛利亚说：“看！上主的婢女，愿照你的话成就于我吧！”天使便离开她去了。
