First Reading: Jer 33:14-16

读经一（我必由达味出生一枝正义的苗芽。）

恭读耶肋米亚先知书 33:14-16

 

The days are coming, says the LORD, when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and Judah.

上主说：“看时日将到 ── 上主的断语 ── 我要实践我对以色列家和犹大家，所预许赐福的诺言。

 

In those days, in that time, I will raise up for David a just shoot ; he shall do what is right and just in the land.

在那些日子里，在那时期内，我必由达味出生一枝正义的苗芽，在地上执行公道和正义；

 

In those days Judah shall be safe and Jerusalem shall dwell secure; this is what they shall call her: “The LORD our justice.”

在那时日里，犹大必获救，耶路撒冷必享安宁；人将称她的名字为：‘上主是我们的正义。’”

Your ways, O LORD, make known to me; teach me your paths, Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my savior, and for you I wait all the day.

领：上主，求你使我认识你的法度，并求你教训我履行你的道路。还求你教训我，引我进入真理之途。我终日仰望你，因你是救我的天主。

 

R. To you, O Lord, I lift my soul.

【答】：上主，我一心仰望你。

 

Good and upright is the LORD; thus he shows sinners the way. He guides the humble to justice, and teaches the humble his way.

领：因为上主仁慈又正直，常领迷途者归回正路，引导谦卑者遵守正义，教导善良者走入正途。

 

R. To you, O Lord, I lift my soul.

【答】：上主，我一心仰望你。

 

All the paths of the LORD are kindness and constancy toward those who keep his covenant and his decrees. The friendship of the LORD is with those who fear him, and his covenant, for their instruction.

领：对持守上主盟约和诫命的人，上主的一切行径常是慈爱和忠诚的。上主亲近敬畏自己的人民，也使他们认识自己的盟约。

 

R. To you, O Lord, I lift my soul.

【答】：上主，我一心仰望你。

 

Second Reading : 1 Thes 3:12-4:2

读经二（愿主坚固你们的心，使你们在基督来临时，无可指摘。）

恭读圣保禄宗徒致得撒洛尼人前书 3:12-4:2

 

Brothers and sisters: May the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we have for you, so as to strengthen your hearts,

弟兄姊妹们：愿主使你们彼此间的爱情，及对众人的爱情，增长满溢，就像我们对你们所有的爱情，好坚固你们的心，

 

to be blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his holy ones. Amen.

使你们在我们的主耶稣，同他的众圣者来临时，在我们的天主父前，在圣德上无可指摘。

 

Finally, brothers and sisters, we earnestly ask and exhort you in the Lord Jesus that,

此外，弟兄们，我们在主耶稣内，还请求和劝勉你们：

 

as you received from us how you should conduct yourselves to please God and as you are conducting yourselves you do so even more.

你们既由我们学会了应怎样行事，为中悦天主，你们就该怎样行事，还要更向前迈进。

 

For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

你们原来知道：我们因主耶稣给了你们什么诫命。

Gospel  Lk 21:25-28, 34-36

福音（你们的救援近了。）

恭读圣路加福音 21:25-28,34-36

 

Jesus said to his disciples: “There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on earth nations will be in dismay, perplexed by the roaring of the sea and the waves.

那时候，耶稣对门徒们说：“日月星辰将有异兆出现；在地上，万国要因海洋波涛怒号，而惊惶失措。

 

People will die of fright in anticipation of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

众人要因等待即将临于天下的事，而恐惧昏倒，因为诸天万象将要动摇。

 

And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

那时，他们要看见人子，带着威能及莫大光荣，乘云降来。

 

But when these signs begin to happen, stand erect and raise your heads because your redemption is at hand.

这些事开始发生时，你们应当挺起身，抬起头，因为你们的救援近了。

 

Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of daily life, and that day catch you by surprise like a trap.

你们应当谨慎，免得你们的心，为宴饮沉醉，及为人生的牵挂所拖累，那意想不到的日子，就临于你们；

 

For that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth.

因为，那日子有如罗网，要临于全地面的一切居民。

 

Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man.”

所以，你们应当时时醒寤祈祷，为使你们能逃脱即将发生的这一切事，并能立于人子之前。”
