First Reading:   RV 20:1-4, 11—21:2

读经一（死过的人，都按照他们的行为受了审判：我看见那新耶路撒冷圣城，从天上由天主那里降下。）

I, John, saw an angel come down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the abyss and a heavy chain. He seized the dragon, the ancient serpent, which is the Devil or Satan,

我，若望，看见一位天使从天降下，手持深渊的钥匙和一条大锁链。他捉住了那龙，那古蛇，就是魔鬼 ── 撒殚，

 

and tied it up for a thousand years and threw it into the abyss, which he locked over it and sealed, so that it could no longer lead the nations astray until the thousand years are completed.

把它捆起来，共一千年之久；将它抛到深渊里，关起来，加上封条，免得它再迷惑万民，直到满了一千年，

 

After this, it is to be released for a short time. Then I saw thrones; those who sat on them were entrusted with judgment.

此后应该释放它一个短时辰。我又看见一些宝座，有些人在上面坐着，他们都得到了审判的权柄，

 

I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or its image nor had accepted its mark on their foreheads or hands.

他们就是那些为给耶稣作证，并为了天主的话而被斩首的人的灵魂；还有那些没有朝拜那兽，没有朝拜兽像，也没有在自己的额上或手上接受过那兽印号的人。

 

They came to life and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years. Next I saw a large white throne and the one who was sitting on it.

他们都活了过来，同基督一起为王一千年。以后，我看见了一个洁白的大宝座，和坐在上面的那位；

 

The earth and the sky fled from his presence and there was no place for them.

地和天都从他面前消失不见了，再也找不到它们的地方了。

 

I saw the dead, the great and the lowly, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. Then another scroll was opened, the book of life.

我又看见死过的人，无论大小，都站在宝座前，案卷就展开了﹔还有另一本书，即生命册也展开了，

 

The dead were judged according to their deeds, by what was written in the scrolls. The sea gave up its dead; then Death and Hades gave up their dead. All the dead were judged according to their deeds.

死过的人都按那案卷上所记录的，照他们的行为受了审判。海洋把其中的死者交出，死亡和阴府都把其中的死者交出，人人都按照自己的行为受了审判。

 

Then Death and Hades were thrown into the pool of fire. (This pool of fire is the second death.) Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the pool of fire.

然后死亡和阴府也被投入火坑，这火坑就是第二次死亡。凡是没有记载在生命册上的人，就被投入火坑中。

 

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

随后，我看见了一个新天新地，因为先前的天与先前的地已不见了，海也没有了。

 

I also saw the holy city, a new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

我看见那新耶路撒冷圣城，从天上由天主那里降下，就如一位装饰好迎接自己丈夫的新娘。

My soul yearns and pines for the courts of the LORD. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

领：我的灵魂渴慕及缅怀上主的庭院。我的心灵以及我的肉身，因生活的天主而踊跃欢欣。

【答】：看，这就是天主与人同在的帐幕。

 

Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest in which she puts her young– Your altars, O LORD of hosts, my king and my God!

领：万军的上主，我的君王，我的天主，麻雀靠近你的祭坛找到了住所，燕子也找到了安置幼雏的窝巢。

 

R.  Here God lives among his people.

【答】：看，这就是天主与人同在的帐幕。

 

Blessed they who dwell in your house! continually they praise you. Blessed the men whose strength you are! They go from strength to strength.

领：上主，居住在你的殿宇，常赞美你的，真是有福！那以你作为自己助佑的人，他们的体力越行越充沛。

【答】：看，这就是天主与人同在的帐幕。

 

Gospel LK 21:29-33

福音（当你们看见这些事情发生，就应知道天主的国近了。）

恭读圣路加福音 21:29-33

 

Jesus told his disciples a parable. “Consider the fig tree and all the other trees. When their buds burst open, you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near;

耶稣给自己的门徒讲了一个比喻：“你们看看无花果树及各种树木，几时你们看见它们已经发芽，就知道：夏天已经近了。

 

in the same way, when you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near.

同样，几时你们看见这些事发生了，也应知道：天主的国近了。

 

Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”

我实在告诉你们：非等一切事发生了，这一代决不会过去。天地要过去，但是，我的话决不会过去。”
